June 11, 2010, Newsletter Issue #75: I Vant to Suck your Blood!

Tip of the Week

Some cancer patients use lots of whole blood and plasma just to maintain their white blood cell count. Blood banks are usually always low to begin with but get an almost vampiric cancer patient and blood becomes more valuable than gold. Have your friends and family donate as often as they can (usually every eight weeks) to help maintain the blood banks supply. Talk to your local blood bank and find out what options are available to you about donating and possibly storing blood.
